Commentary to ‘Repelling all Troubles’…

The practice ‘Repelling all Troubles’ includes an introduction by James explaining its purpose and potential…utilising the power of equanimity, arising with wisdom.

Including vows, prayers, the Heart Sutra, the Dokpa practice, and in describing the Buddha’s response to anger in a particular situation… this practice has many re-minders to help keep us aligned and balanced in the middle way.

With this, rather than falling into reactivity in the face of provocation… we are engaging with opening to our potential to find ourselves responding or not… as appropriate… from openness, and working with circumstances.

I greatly appreciate the benefit of this teaching and James is happy for me to include this recording here with the other audio-recordings on this site.
As you will find, he hopes that we will do the practise… and enjoy doing it! : )

The final improved version of the  Audio of Commentary on text – Repelling all Troubles can be played and downloaded below.
James was getting through a lot in a short time so I gave the words a bit more room and rescued some unclear words; Peter Farrie improved the quality of the sound. So if you like to use audio recordings for study it’s now very listenable.
