It is a rare and precious book, made available to us through the care with which the students preserved these teachings… the quality of the translation…and all the time and love and trouble involved in its presentation.
Their origin, and that they are so clearly presented, arises from profound practice allied to the development of great facility with the contextual use of both the languages involved.
James spent many years initially checking and developing this capacity with C.R. Lama who knew the meaning to which the words pointed… and has, for our benefit, continued to finesse this through the ensuing decades.
